Why iPad will be a huge success in I

Apple iPad review

The Hunt.

Apple iPad... Until a week back i never knew, Apple's gonna be announcing the next big thing to the world. Thanks to Youtube again for giving me hints on this one which made me freak out until i get to know what it is. I started my hunt to get a glimpse of the picture of the Apple's surprise, before it was going to be publicly announced and i did get it and was simply waiting tht it cud be real. And Apple's tight lipped strategy, made the enthusiasits imagination go wild and everyone started creating their own version of Apple's next product (Probably their idea might be Apple may listen and recruit them). If you are in Tamil Nadu, its like Rajni's next movie, tight lipped about the story, and the rumours go around creating a 1000 versions of the movie. But the truth is one rumour is always real.

The invite
Everyone where aware that Apple is making a tablet pc, and its called iSlate or iPad. Even Microsoft and HP are working together and unveiled what they call HP slate with windows 7 on it. 27 Jan 2010- Apple decided to announce it to the world with an simple invite that says "Come see our latest invention". Wow what an humble invite from the worlds most admired company.

The Apple iPad making

Apple call it the iPad. Apple has spent years in creating and perfecting the iPhone and its almost at the peak of its glory now. It has created one of the biggest communities ever in human history and who have made 140,000 Apps for just iphone. and iPod forced the music industry to work the iTunes way. Some say HTC pioneered the touch technology and nokia was the last to adopt it i dont deny it but who reaps the benefit of the technology. So Apple did guess touch screens is going to be the future or force it to be the future. In my opinion, Apple never eats any competition, they just create a new a space for them. Apple doesnt make a 100s of products every year. They made iPod, iPhone, iPod Touch. Coming back to iPhone, Apple wanted to tone it down and gave the iPod Touch to us which was iPhone - Phone - Camera to cater to the entertainment world. And no doubt it was a huge hit.

Now what..

Apple created a revolutionary new technology product, and obviously they had to leverage on it. So ipods priced at USD 300 , iphones priced at USD 500 - 700, Macs priced at USD 800 - 1000. If u did remove the iPhone from the portfolio there is a huge gap. If u ask 100 people an simple question what do u do most with an computer, 80% are likely to reply Browse, Watch movies, listen to music, play games. This is when people started encouraging netbooks(Asus started it and every1 including Sony, Dell, HP, Acer where in the league but not apple), which were nofrills laptop at the price of laptop and gives these facilities. But something was missing, its still an smaller version of laptop.

So what if Apple gave something at the price of an netbook, something more attractive and does all the basic things. iPad is born. Bigger than iphone unlocked 3 g enabled versopns. It has all the basic features tht one would expect and at a price spot on, its gonna be 100% success.it is going to create a new spce for itself.

Isle of Skye, Scotland, Travelogue

This is a travelogue dedicated for Scotland Visitors. I am one of the fortunate guys chosen by God to see the beauty of Isle Of Skye, in its absolute beauty.. It was Christmas 2009, worst time to visit Isle of Skye, i havent even heard of its name till then. I was in my friends place at Newcastle, to celebrate his birthday and enjoy Newcastle. But his room mates, some of the best mates seen in my life had some other plans. At 10 Pm in the night of Christmas they decided to go to this place called Isle of Skye, and as usual I was game for roaming any where, as I had only 3 months to see and work in UK.

Isle of Skye, is a paradise on Earth,, and snow covering like a blanked whole of nearby places, we were really fortunate that the weather and road were perfect for our unplanned trip. We had to pass Glasgow, which changed my impression of Scotland altogether, a beautiful modern city with high raise buildings and beautiful town. I had an 1 % oppty to get into University of Glasgow 3 years back. But I am really happy what I am. When we got Sun light into the place, it was beautiful, horrifying at the sametime. The whole place was like a pencil sketch, black and white due to the blanket of snow. Remember to avoid ferry if you are going by car to isle of skye during weekends. We lost a lot of time travelling around to get the ferry less route.. Though there is less of visitor of spots like Elean and Donnan Castle ( For tamilians the Castle in which Kandukondain Kandukondain Aishwarya song was shot) it was closed, but we did have fun enroute stopping at scenic places, with over foot of snow covering over legs. The snow was killing our feets. The Neist point is 55 miles away from Skye Bridge, but its a beautiful place, with one way roads. and haunted houses and no human beings in sight for most of the journey... Neist point is a light house, and one of the extreme ends of UK region... Later I learnt tht its one of the best places for spotting Whales and Dolphins during season..

The drive in the mountains is the most unforgettable experience one could ever have, I was lucky to drive for around 100 miles.... it was a real great experience.. UK visitors dont miss Isle of Skye if u love the experience... for others it might be just another horrible place.. as we met an old guy who got diverted here due to trains to inverness where delayed due to bad weather..

And the good news is there is an Indian Restaurant...

Tussauds Wax museum, Indian connection

Hi, I recently visited Tussauds Wax Museum in London, wanted to share few random thoughts. First of all let me share the Tussauds shocking but interesting history.

Madame Tussaud was present in the age of French Revolution... She was working for a famous famous wax model artist in France. During the french revolution, as you always know lot of English Aristocrats ( Royal people, for others do u remember Scarlet Pimpernel novel in our High School English subject) were slaughtered, and Madame Tussaud was given the work for preserving wax model heads of famous English royal people. And thts how the begining of the worlds most famous entertainment empire was formed. Madame Tusaud learnt the art and started modelling famous people in wax. Beleive me or not we waited for more than 2 hours in 'Q' in London to enter the world famous wax museum.

Indian Connection.

As usual I was really excited to see the real life like wax statues of celebrities. I did have eye on one beautiful girl with black hair, but it sadly ended with just I was seeing her, but she wasnt bothered to see me back. When I entered, It was a real surprise as we cudnt distinguish wax statues with other people. and there was one statue of a girl with a camera in her hand trying to photograph Will Smith wax model, my friend and I were constantly trying to move away from her focus and apologising for obstructing her view, but finally we were laughing at each other as it was a wax model of a common girl with a cam trying to picture a wax model. Hats off to the tussauds team to come up with such exciting themes.

Now coming to the point, we were really surprised to see the amount of Indian idols ( No not the reality shows pls) starting from Ash, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman , Shah Rukh, Sachin, Gandhi Ji, Indira Gandhi Ji.. Wow .. my god , I realised the level of importance Indians have, hats off Indians wh0 have made us proud and made an impact in the whole world. There are really lot of people famous in the whole world but still an representative sample like Tussauds have an percentage of Indians really speaks of us.. I am not a patriot or something.. I really dont like most of the things happening in India. but still i really wanted to acknowledge this...
